The Oak Ridge Boys
With phenomenal harmonies and an amazing career that spans several decades, The Oak Ridge Boys, will bring an incredible crowd to see them perform their huge catalog of hit country, pop and gospel songs with this year’s Tour, oakridgeboys.com/tour. The group has scored 12 gold albums, three platinum, and one double platinum album – plus one double platinum single—and more than a dozen national Number One singles and over 30 Top Ten hits. Their hit single Elvira, won Song of the Year from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. They have been inducted to both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The Oak Ridge Boys have also earned an impressive list of five Grammy® Awards, including Best Gospel Performance and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. They have earned Dove awards for everything from Album of the Year to Male Group of the Year. Although they have always been known for their country and gospel music, many of the Oak Ridge Boys songs crossed over onto the pop charts, including Elvira and Bobby Sue. Their music has peppered the charts over the years, including number one hits like Touch A Hand, (I;m Settin’) Fancy Free, American Made, Tryin’ to Love Two Women, and It Takes a Little Rain (to Make Love Grow). Every time they step before an audience, the Oak Ridge Boys bring four decades of charted singles, and 50 years of tradition, to a stage show widely acknowledged as among the most exciting anywhere. With one of the most distinctive and most recognizable sounds in the music industry, they have definitely earned the right to be called country music legends.
The Oak Ridge Boys have appeared before 5 American Presidents. This past December they were at H. W. Bush’s funeral where they sang Amazing Grace, which was President Bush’s request before his passing.
The Tams from Atlanta, Georgia, enjoyed their greatest chart success in the 1960’s, but continued to chart in the 70’s and 80’s. Known for their choreographed dancing and matching suits, the band has many recognizable shagging hits such as What Kind of Fool (Do you Think I Am), Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy, I’ve Been Hurt, and There Ain’t Nothing Like Shagging. Sure to have the dance floor full, this group provides lots of fun and outstanding entertainment.

His devoted fans, known as the “Coastline Crazies,” are sure to follow him to the Blue Ridge Fest stage.
